Willing Us Forward
Bardia Behmard is an intern working at the Living Wisdom School in Portland. Here’s a poem he wrote for the blog about the importance of developing will.
“Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will.” —Mahatma Gandhi
Dear Will Power,
Without you
We’d all still be lying in bed,
Counting dots
On the ceiling
Without you
We’d still be stuck in our old ways
MLK
Wouldn’t have
Dreamed
Einstein
Wouldn’t have
Thought
And
John Lennon
Wouldn’t have
Imagined
Without you
Every book
Would be half done,
Every home
Half built,
And every meal
Half cooked,
Dear Will Power!
What would we do
Without you?
You will
The human race forward
Thank you
